Drive Systems Division

The Shantui Drive Systems Division specializes in the manufacture of torque converters and transmissions. The Division has become an important research and manufacturing base in China for hydraulic torque converters and transmissions. With years of experience in the field of mechanical transmission parts for Chinese construction machinery, the Division is focused on torque converters and transmission products, and is constantly improving products to meet the strict requirements of their equipment both at home and abroad.

Over time, demands change, and it is important the corporate and product development is able to keep up with the times in order to stay alive. Shantui's Drive Systems Division provides transmission parts for all Shantui bulldozers in China, as well as all units exported abroad. The performance and quality of these key parts have made it possible for a Chinese brand to enter international markets and gain credibility and respect for products made in China.

The torque converter's turbine wheel is forged from a metal mold and resin coated hot-box core technology, providing accurate blade coordination, high accuracy, smooth channel flow, and superior performance. The Shantui Drive Systems Division follows a strategy of "introduce, ingest, absorb, improve," in order to reach a positive developmental cycle, increase productivity, and make great improvements in product quality.

Quality Guarantee: the hydraulic torque converter workshop focused on previous domestic and international advanced processing centers and control machinery to integrate equipment. The housings of the torque converters, transmissions, and cylinders, as well as other key parts such as planetary supports, are all engineered in the processing center. The initial inspection of torque converter casings, transmission casings and key parts are performed by 3D coordinate measuring machinery, which effectively guarantees accurate dimensions and positioning.

The torque converter and transmission assembly lines rotate and run automatically, and by switching out working devices, can be used to assemble different models of torque converters and transmissions. Through effective use of the assembly lines, assembly is standardized, and the assembly process is easy to control, and can be done without the possibility of human error influencing quality, thereby guaranteeing efficiency and quality in assembly.

The testing station for transmission and gear systems is controlled by microcomputer and can make smooth adjustments to the electric motor's speed and hydraulic flow. The torque converter and transmission's performance tests are conducted through 400KW comprehensive test stations, and each tested item must meet the national requirements for excellent products. The products enjoy an excellent reputation in the domestic market. We have established long term cooperative relationship with major machinery manufacturers, and our products are also exported all around the world along with our finished machines. We spend a lot of time focusing on the turbine wheel of the hydraulic torque converter, and are constantly upgrading and improving our molds, liquid aluminum refinement and casting technology.

Product Series: in recent years, we have been working hard on product expansion both vertically and horizontally. At the same time, we are independently developing a vane cascade series. With specialized design software and advanced 3D technology for hydraulic torque converters and transmissions, developed in cooperation with major universities, the Shantui Drive Systems Division has established a series of hydraulic torque converters, and has the widest range of products in the industry in China.

Using CAD/CAM technology, we have been able to produce molds through a 5-axle, 4-link, vertical processing center, improving mold precision and shortening the mold manufacturing cycle. To meet certain configuration requirements for drive systems in forklifts, we have developed a welded sheet metal hydraulic torque converter, whose performance in Chinese comparative testing has always come out as comparatively advanced in every item tested. To show the advantages of combining a torque converter with a transmission in a forklift, we have developed a special transmission for forklifts, combining these two. The hydraulic torque converters we produced are the YJH265, YJ280, YJ315X, YJSW315, YJ315D, YJ355, YJ365, YJ375, YJ380, YJ409, YJ435, YJ450, and YJ506 series, and there are also series for bulldozers, loaders, and gas-powered vehicles.

To meet the requirements of market development, we conduct research on electro-hydraulic control technology, and perform dynamic tests on the pressure-time curve diagram during the gear shift of power shift transmissions, allowing us to optimize the dynamic response to ensure smooth gear shift, thorough release, and thus improve the transmission's range and quality of application. The Shantui Drive Systems Division strengthens consciousness of our strategies and promotes internationalized management. We are making strong efforts to establish an international brand and enter wider international markets.
