The Undercarriage Division of Shantui Construction Machinery Co., Ltd is a professional enterprise specializing in research and development, manufacturing, and marketing of undercarriage parts for construction machinery. With specialized factories for metal forging, tracks and rollers, the undercarriage division covers an area of 132,152 m², with floor space of 67,438 m², and has a work force of 1042 employees. This division is focused on the production of track assemblies for 3.5T – 100T rollers, 70HP – 520HP bulldozers, and for other crawler-type construction machinery.

The Undercarriage Division has production lines for all of to accomplish all necessary processing, including a 4000T and a 2500T forge, a mold forge, a track processing line, 13 track link processing lines, 8 track link press-fit lines, 6 track shoe tightening lines, 6 roller assembly lines, 5 heat treatment lines for links and tracks, 4 heat treatment lines for rollers, various types of CNC equipment, a processing center and 175 pieces of specialized machinery.  It is also equipped with 3 units of CMM, a 300T servo brake test system, a 10T ring compression test system, metal analysis machinery, PROE, and UG #D design modeling technology.

In 2008, annual production capabilities were up to 6.2 million units in the forge, 40,000 track assemblies, and over 500,000 roller assemblies.  By 2012 we will be able to produce 12 million units in the forges, 120,00 track assemblies and 1.2 million roller assemblies.  The products produced by the Undercarriage Division are being used as OEM parts in many famous industry brands, such as Volvo, Sandvik, Komatsu, Hitachi, Takechi, Ihisce, Liugong, Xuwai and Yuchai, among others.
